Mum moved here in 2014 and whilst she has had problems with her health, the staff have never been anything more than brilliant. She has made such good progress that we are now about to move her back to a home in Horden and I received permission to live at Langley with my mum to get her ready for the transition, which has really helped. I bet there are not many homes where you could do this or that can demonstrate that moving into a care home doesn’t necessarily have to be permanent. Our family can’t speak highly enough about Langley House.
I think the staff are lovely to all the residents, they are really nice. I feel that is important particularly when someone first moves into the home. Langley House is very homely and warm. The traditional, homely food is excellent and even my Dad vouches for the quality, and looks forward to having meals with my Mam.
The home is excellent. All staff are very caring and good at their job. The food is lovely and it is nice that everyone is offered a choice of drinks and food whenever they want
Langley is fantastic. The is care very good and my Mother is doing so much better. I will definitely come here when it’s my turn!
The care my father gets is second to none. The carers are really good with him and treat him as one of their own. What is important is that my father is very happy here and I know that he is well cared for and safe. The staff always get medical help if they feel something is not quite right. Everyone makes all the family welcome when they visit. They have activities arranged and have various artists to entertain the residents, which is great.
My mother-in-law Jackie went to Langley House for a few weeks’ respite care she enjoyed her time there. The attention to care is excellent; the interaction between staff and residents is second to none and all in all it was a very positive experience for all of us.
My mum Doreen first went to Langley on respite care and I can remember when we first visited the home that even from the outside it looked very welcoming. Mum is now in the home on a permanent basis and is happy. As a family we have high expectation of the care we expect mum to receive but Deborah and her team always meet these expectations.
My sister-in-law Mary is looked after very well by the very friendly staff team and everything is always so clean and tidy. The activities coordinator Joanne always gets everyone involved and there is always something going on to stimulate the residents.
